*These pieces are from the Meditations on ‘Artifacts’ Series (ongoing). The canvases are over 60 years old, painted on old Dutch school scrolls, and the paint will continue flaking and aging as the banners have been rolled and moved and rehung many times, and this process will continue. For the Still Life Crew, this is part of the charm and the truth of these three pieces.
